4. Changes in voice and speech.

 

Once the brain and muscles have been affected by Parkinson’s, the voice will also start changing by becoming soft and monotone. This is one of the earliest signs that close friends and family members can notice even before the patient becomes aware. Also, the stiffened facial muscles leads to slurring of words because it becomes difficult to enunciate clearly. Some people will start having problems opening their mouths wider making the speeches harder to hear and understand.
