Fever is usually caused by an infection. It can be a symptom of any disease but when one has recurring fevers which cannot be explained; great chances are that he or she could be suffering from lymphoma. When one suffers from this infection the body temperature is not stable as it frequently rises and goes down than the normal body temperature. The temperature may not be extremely high but it comes and goes and this type of fever is called a low grade fever. Chemicals released into the blood cause a raise in the body’s internal temperature which also happens when one has an infection. A sudden raise in body temperature makes a different arrangement to the body’s thermostat in the brain. This fever makes the body become hot, cold, sweaty and shivery.
