Avoid bringing worries into your bed. Do some breathing exercises to ease up your thoughts. Also, try to keep your mind busy by reading a feel-good book or listening to a soothing music. A massage, meditation, or a warm shower or a soak with scented candles will also help.

Let all pending troubles wait for tomorrow as the body needs you to focus on resting and recovery. Let your mind drift away to the nonsensical, but pleasurable euphoria of a half-sleep state until you succumb totally to a slumber.
