3.The Hofling Hospital Experiment

Charles Hofling began an experiment in the year 1966. This experiment tested the willingness of nurse practitioners as they began administering doses of a fake drug to patients. The purpose of the experiment was to see their willingness to do something that would end up killing someone because the doctor told them to. They were given a liquid of this fake drug and it was clearly written on the bottle that 10mg was the maximum dosage. After having read this the nurses were told to administer 20mg of the drug. Surprisingly, 21/22 nurses complied with the order.
