8. Constipation and other bowel and bladder problems.

This is one of the most common signs of this disease but often overlooked because there many other causes of such a condition. The Parkinson’s disease affects the autonomic nerves which regulates the activities of the smooth muscles like bowels and bladder. Once the autonomic nervous system has been affected, the bowel and the balder will be less sensitive and efficient resulting to slowed digestive process. To differentiate constipation caused by Parkinson’s from other conditions; Parkinson’s constipation is always accompanied by feeling fullness after eating very little food and can last relatively longer. Also, some patients will have difficulties in urinating while others will start experiencing episodes of incontinence.
