6. Check your portions

There is no shortcut to losing weight and the simple truth is that eating too much will always make you fat. Your plate should consist of more vegetables followed by a protein and the least portion being a carbohydrate. In many instances, we eat more carbs than vegetables and this will only derail your weight loss efforts. There is no need to count every single calorie because your eyes are enough to scale your portions. Let vegetables and protein fill your stomach instead of the starch. This way, you will be able to reduce your portion sizes to give you valued nutrition and less fat. Once you eat, you should never feel bloated because this is a sign that you have over-eaten; leave some space for water.
